My Journey

All my children (6 of them) — their births, the countries we have lived in, the thousands of people we’ve met along the way — each became a step toward one simple but life-changing question I once received after giving a talk:

“How much do you charge for a personal consultation?”

I remember smiling and asking, “For what now?”
Until then, I had simply shared my experiences whenever someone asked. But that question felt like a gentle sign from the universe — a message saying,
“Yes, you can. You can help people with your experience, knowledge, and care.”

My first son was born in 2014 in Russia, in a hospital that allowed my husband to be present. I came prepared — full of love, hope, and trust — but what awaited us was an experience of harshness, unnecessary interventions, and pain. That day, something powerful awoke within me — the mother bear. Together with my son, I began to grow.

During my second pregnancy, I dreamed of giving birth at home. We found a midwife, but as fate would have it, she was called to India during my final weeks. So we decided to go there too — my husband left his job, and we moved our family across the world. There, surrounded by the warmth of Indian traditions and gentle postpartum care, I experienced birth and recovery as they were meant to be — full of love, respect, and deep peace.

A few years later, we won a Green Card and adopted a child before moving to the United States, starting once again from the beginning. Even across oceans, pregnant friends sought my advice — and some even gave birth with my remote support. Birth and motherhood have always fascinated me. I never stopped learning — reading, attending workshops, and speaking with women from all walks of life.

My third child, a daughter, was born at home in the United States, supported by a wonderful midwife. It was a respectful, empowering experience — yet the postpartum period was unexpectedly difficult. I lacked warmth, care, and guidance in navigating my body’s changes and creating a nurturing space for myself.

Later, during a visit to Russia, I experienced a traditional postpartum closing ceremony in a bathhouse led by skilled craftswomen. It felt sacred — as if something within me was completed, and another door quietly opened.

I realized: this is my calling.

I began formal training at the Maternity Support School and soon started offering online support to new mothers. Then came DONA International (USA), where I trained as a Postpartum Doula, followed by studies at the Academy of Holistic Midwifery in Russia, courses in Aromatherapy and Rebozo, and mentorship with Yulia Shelepina. I joined the Professional Association of Russian Doulas, continuing to expand my knowledge and practice.

Today, I’m also certified in Natural Family Planning (Symptothermal Method), lead group sessions, and continue my development through advanced trainings, including Hypnobirth.

And then came my fourth blessing — a daughter born at home, without a midwife, just the two of us, held in the quiet strength of nature. Through that birth, I met incredible people and a midwifery centre that helped me rediscover my faith in health, intuition, and the wisdom of the body.

My fifth birth was also a home birth of a beautiful daughter, supported by my dear midwife who became a close friend after the third delivery she helped me with.

Now, with every woman I support, I fall deeper in love with my work. I move at my own rhythm — the same rhythm I teach mothers to trust — blending the knowledge of science with the softness of art, intuition, and soul.

I am also a writer and artist. My book, Pocket Doula, was born out of love for the sacred forty days after birth, offering gentle guidance for this transformative season of motherhood. I host creative art workshops where women reconnect with their intuition through expression, story, and beauty — celebrating the art of being a woman.

Each encounter, each story, each birth continues to teach me the same truth:
Motherhood is art — and every woman is its masterpiece.
